What To Expect When We Work Together

At Personal Financial Planning, LLC we offer a free consultation before anything else. If we decide to work together, we follow a structured process to learn about you and your family, your current portfolio, your future plans, and of course your financial goals and risk tolerance. While it is a process, it varies widely from client to client and our advice is tailored to you alone. When you choose us to help plan your retirement, invest for your children’s futures, or help manage the finances of your ongoing life or business, you can expect us to be thoughtfully involved with you every step of the way. Unlike many other advisors who outsource portfolio management, we personally make all investment decisions in-house.
Our Financial Planning Process
Analyze- Many financial advisors are high-pressure salespeople who are given a shortlist of securities to sell and quotas to fill. At Personal Financial Planning, we are CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioners and we take a different approach. We ask the right questions, listen to your concerns and your dreams for the future, and assess your entire situation before advising.
Plan- Once we have learned more about you, we can begin to plan to meet your goals. You can feel confident knowing that we are fully-trained financial advisors developing up-to-date quality advice just for you. When we have a recommended strategy in place, we will meet with you to discuss and fine-tune the plan.
Implement- We work best for you when we have all your assets under management. This is not a requirement but is highly recommended. When we have the whole picture we can better keep your portfolio balanced, better maximize your wealth, and better modify your holdings as the market or your circumstances change. We will handle all the paperwork to transfer your accounts with minimum stress for you.
Monitor– When we manage your portfolio, we are as invested in building your wealth as you are and we keep a close eye on your investments. We never just set it and forget it. Your assets are being monitored by your competent and caring advisor who has a comprehensive view of the market and your personal and financial situations. Because of our fiduciary relationship with you, when you do well, we do well.
Review– At least once a year or more often, we review your portfolio with you and get up-to-date on your family and changing circumstances. As we get to know each other year after year, you can count on our custom advice to both work for you now and as we build toward your future goals.
Adjust– Adjustments to your portfolio are free with us at Personal Financial Planning. If your circumstances should change, we will help you adjust personally and financially. You can feel confident that our fee-only advisors are independent and trustworthy, working on your behalf with transparent pricing and zero high-pressure sales tactics.
